Global Warming - Hot new opinions from a weather expert.

It was this link to a video that got me thinking I wanted a debate forum for this kind of stuff.

He makes several points that I find interesting, including some background info on Al Gore's infamous Polar Bear photo from his movie. Watch this and post your thoughts in the comment section.

It really is simple: if the climate models were half as good as people claim, then they could be used to predict the past. That nobody has been able to demonstrate a model which, given an arbitrary historical year (and its weather data), can predict reliably what happened in the subsequent years.

People currently (at best) tune them for a select year and then for the output that they want.

Why is this? simple: we don't know far more than we do know about climate modeling. For instance, ask people who are seriously into it how they account for clouds both in terms of formation thereof and the heating/cooling impact.
